What are Hyperlink and It’s Different Types


What are hyperlinks? How do they work? And what are the different types of hyperlinks? This article will answer all these questions and more as we go through the many types of hyperlinks available on the web today.

What are hyperlinks?

A hyperlink connects two web pages either on the same or a different site. Different types of hyperlinks include text links, image links, and button links. Text links are the most common type of hyperlink, and they can be styled with CSS to look different from regular text. Image links are usually used to link to other pages on the same site but can also be used to link to external sites. Button links are often used as call-to-action buttons, such as Buy Now or Sign Up. 

If you have an eCommerce website, these types of links are crucial because they’re what your customers will use to buy products from your store. They also tend to perform better than text links in general. When it comes to designing for mobile devices, it’s essential to think about which type of links you want to use so that your customer doesn’t have trouble navigating around your site.

The different types of hyperlinks

There are many different types of hyperlinks that can be used when creating a website. The simplest form of a hyperlink is in the text link. This is a simple link that uses anchor text to link to another page on the web. Another common type of hyperlink is the image link. This type of link uses an image instead of text to link to another page. The third type of hyperlink is the button link. This type of link uses a button instead of text or an image to link to another page. 

The fourth type of hyperlink is the form link. This type of link allows you to submit a form on one page and have it sent to another page for processing. The fifth type of hyperlink is the file download link. This type of link downloads a file from the server without having to navigate away from the current page.

The sixth type of hyperlink is the search engine results link. This link will take users directly to their search engine results for whatever they searched in your blog post about different types of hyperlinks

What is an anchor text?

In a hyperlink, anchor text is the visible and clickable text. It can be helpful to think of it as the label for the link. The words that make up the anchor text can provide clues about what a linked page is about. 

What are different types of links?

There are three types of links: absolute, relative, and mixed. Absolute links always point to an exact location on the web; relative links take you to a related page or folder on your site; mixed links contain both absolute and relative information. As such, they may not always lead you to the destination you were expecting. 

How do I make an anchor text?

 In order to create an anchor text, first, create a heading and then wrap some content around it so that when someone clicks on the heading, they will go right there without having to scroll down through all of your content. Next, add two brackets at the beginning and end of your heading with a space between them. Then put in the URL for where you want people to go by writing http://www followed by whatever address you have chosen. Finally, add this new heading into your post by typing  inside one set of brackets followed by two closing brackets with no spaces between them

How does anchor text help your search engine ranking?

A hyperlink’s highlighted, the clickable text is called anchor text. It’s what tells your readers where they will be taken if they click on the link. When it comes to search engine optimization, anchor text is important because it helps Google understand what your page is about. 

If you’re trying to rank for a certain keyword, it’s helpful to have that keyword in your anchor text. That way, when Google sees that keyword in your anchor text, they’ll be more likely to rank your page higher in the search results. There are four different types of anchor text: exact match, partial match, brand name, and generic. The exact match anchor text is when the keyword you’re trying to rank for is exactly what’s in the anchor text. So, if I was trying to rank for apple, I would use an exact match anchor text with apple.

 Partial match anchor text happens when there’s some similarity between the keyword and the anchor text, but not all of it. For example, Apple might be similar to Apple. So I might use an anchor text like apples as a partial match.

Why do we link?

We link because we want our readers to have access to additional information that might be relevant to what they are reading. By providing a hyperlink, we are essentially vouching for the credibility of the linked-to site. 

There are different types of links, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Text links are the most common type of link. If you place your cursor over the word text in this sentence, it will turn into an underlined blue symbol (this is called an anchor). Click on it, and you’ll see where I was directing you–it will open up a new tab in your browser with this definition of text.

 When using images as links, use descriptive titles or captions so the reader knows why they should click on them. To do this, simply include the title of the image followed by an arrow that points to it like so: Image Title >. A video can also act as a link by linking to YouTube or Vimeo video or embedding one directly into your post. A text link only works if someone has Internet access; whereas, an image or video can still convey meaning even if someone does not have Internet access–people may need software installed on their device for videos and images to work properly.
